SOLV3D Receives Support for Research and Development and Welcomes Dr. Kaleel Al-Durgham as Senior Data Scientist

CALGARY, AB – SOLV3D, a leading provider of 3D processing, geospatial data visualization and collaboration tools is pleased to announce it is the recipient of advisory services and conditional funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP). This funding will provide SOLV3D with resources to undertake a research and development project to create advanced tools for geospatial data processing.

In support of this project, one of the first resources to be brought on-board is Dr. Kaleel Al-Durgham, who will fill the role of Senior Data Scientist.

“SOLV3D has a great vision for their solutions and are doing some things that are fairly unique, which is why I ultimately decided to join them,” says Dr. Al-Durgham. “Coming from a geomatics background, I am impressed with their technology, which on the back-end is quite sophisticated and complex, but presents a very easy-to-use experience for the end user. I am thrilled to join the innovative and multi-skilled team at SOLV3D and look forward to contributing to our continued growth and success.”

Chief Executive Officer Scott Campbell provided the following comment on Dr. Al-Durgham joining SOLV3D, “Creative, talented people are the key to the success of any company, so I am very excited to have Kaleel join our team. His experience in geomatics in general, and with point cloud data in particular, will help us enhance our offerings and solve some of the tough problems our clients are facing.”
