Geocomm Empowers You to Take Your GIS Data to the Next Level With This APCO 2019 Conference Presentation

This year at the APCO 2019 Conference GeoComm will be presenting at a presentation that will empower you to take your GIS data to the next level and maintain it for the long term. Deb Rozeboom, one of GeoComm’s twenty-five subject matter experts, will deliver this presentation, address challenges faced in the industry, and provide insights on new technologies.

Deb’s APCO 2019 presentation titled Focusing on NG9-1-1 GIS Data Management Processes will take place on Wednesday, August 14 at 10:15 a.m. This session highlights what you should do now that all your boxes are checked; your data is ready for NG9-1-1 and it meets the standards; you’ve synchronized the MSAG and ALI to the GIS – and so you are done, right? Not exactly – maintaining this accurate, highly-synchronized data now comes to the forefront. Determining when the quality is checked and how updates are added are critical steps in your GIS data management processes. During this session, you will dive into this process in order to ensure the local data retains the level you’ve worked to obtain.

GeoComm’s group of subject matter experts are dedicated to helping public safety professionals understand the role of GIS in 9-1-1 and NG9-1-1. Deb is a certified Emergency Number Professional (ENP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and GIS Professional (GISP). She has over 14 years’ experience leading numerous GIS, 9-1-1, and NG9-1-1 projects and currently serves on multiple National Emergency Number Association (NENA) workgroups.

The APCO 2019 Conference will be held from August 11-14 in Baltimore, Maryland. To learn more about GeoComm’s activities at the conference visit https://www.geo-comm.com/apco-international-conference/
