Zivid chooses Micro-Technica for Japan

OSLO, Norway, June 10, 2019 – Zivid, the 3D machine vision camera company, has made its first distributor appointment in Japan. Micro-Technica will support the company’s Zivid One Plus cameras and software throughout the country and will showcase the product at the forthcoming Image Sensing Show, Yokohama, 12-14 June 2019.

Founded in 1981, Tokyo-based Micro-Technica is a vision inspection specialist operating in a variety of manufacturing sectors, most notably printing, pharmaceutical and food. The company provides turnkey 3D machine vision and inspection solutions, and a complete range of system components including video input and signal conversion boards, cameras, lenses and collaborative robots.

Kenji Kajiwara, Acting Section Manager at Micro-Technica said, “Concern for reliability and safety in manufacturing has never been greater, and quality control systems are needing to evolve quickly to meet increasingly stringent demands.  In selecting the right vision technology, speed and precision are critical performance attributes, and we believe the Zivid camera delivers both, without any trade-off.”

Mikkel Orheim, Zivid’s VP of Global Sales said, “We are really very proud to be partnering with Micro-Technica in Japan.  It’s a company with in-depth experience across a range of industrial sectors and a strong reputation for solving even the most complicated machine vision problems.  We look forward to working with them and sharing in future advances.”

Launched in 2018, the Zivid One Plus is considered to be the world’s most accurate real-time 3D machine vision camera.  Promising no-compromise, human-like 3D machine vision, it brings high quality, high speed 3D point cloud capabilities to a wide range of robotic and industrial automation systems.
