Extensis to Cameo Digital Asset Management Solution Incorporating LizardTech’s MrSID at GEOINT 2019

PORTLAND, Ore.– Extensis® will demonstrate its full suite of digital asset, font, and imagery management solutions – which now incorporate LizardTech products and technology – at GEOINT 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. Portfolio, the flagship Extensis digital asset management (DAM) system, has been optimized for geospatial data, including compressed MrSID files, to help organizations fully leverage the value of their imagery and other digital files and documents.

“All legacy LizardTech software products including GeoExpress and Express Server, which the Defense & Intelligence community has relied on for more than a decade, are now part of the Extensis product line,” said Terry Ryan, Extensis Federal Government Sales Manager, adding that NGA has recently renewed its long-term commitment to the continued usage of GeoExpress and Express Server.

LizardTech and Extensis united under the Extensis brand in September 2018, combining the industry-leading DAM capabilities of Portfolio with the geospatial image management and compression expertise of LizardTech. These data management solutions enable clients to easily organize, access and share geospatial datasets along with associated documents.

“The geospatially optimized Portfolio solution solves a primary challenge faced by NGA and its affiliated agencies – quickly finding and retrieving the right image file from massive archives of geospatial data,” said Ryan. “Portfolio reduces search time and eliminates duplicate data purchases that result from misplaced data files.”

Extensis will offer demonstrations of Portfolio, GeoExpress and Express Server in booth #965 at GEOINT 2019 being held June 2-5 in San Antonio.

Portfolio indexes, catalogs and provides enterprise-wide access to digital imagery, photographs, videos, maps, audio files, Adobe® Creative Cloud® applications and Microsoft® Office documents.  Optimized for geospatial data, Portfolio extracts embedded metadata from compressed imagery and LiDAR files saved in MrSID formats – in addition to other common geospatial formats such as GeoTIFF, JPEG 2000, NITF, LAS and LAZ – for intelligent archiving.

Geospatial data can be indexed and stored alongside associated non-geospatial photographs and documents for easy access in Portfolio. The solution provides instant access to imagery, LiDAR and video data captured by satellite, aircraft and UAV platforms even if the files are stored on multiple networks, drives and computers.

“Extensis and LizardTech products have played important roles in helping government agencies fulfill their vital missions,” said Ryan, “We look forward to supporting U.S. government and allied nations’ interests worldwide for years to come.”
