Thailand Lags Neighbours in Data Recovery Survey

Thailand ranked the worst in disaster recovery readiness among eight countries in Asia-Pacific, defying the trend toward increasing use of cloud-based backup and disaster recovery programmes in the region, according to a survey. Conducted by the independent research firm Coleman Parkes in May, the survey found that 42% of the 1,086 organisations in eight countries in Asia-Pacific including Thailand admit that cloud computing _ the use of applications hosted online _ would be integral to their disaster recovery plans next year.
