Silent Auction to Benefit URISA’s GISCorps Announced

URISA is pleased to announce a silent auction to benefit URISA’s GISCorps during GIS-Pro & CalGIS 2018 in Palm Springs, California.

Since 2003, URISA’s GISCorps has coordinated short-term, volunteer-based GIS services to underprivileged communities. Projects vary based on the partner agency’s need and may involve any and all aspects of GIS including analysis, cartography, app development, needs assessments, technical workshops, etc.  Areas of service include humanitarian relief, disaster response, conservation, environmental quality, health and human services, GIS education, and expert crowdsourcing.

GISCorps runs on volunteer energy and charitable contributions.

The Silent Auction to support URISA’s GISCorps will be on Thursday, October 11. If you have something you would like to donate to the cause, please send an email to [email protected] or call (847) 824-6300.
