SPAR 3D Expo & Conference Gets Underway Tomorrow

June 04, 2018 (Anaheim, California, USA) – With SPAR 3D Expo & Conference just one day away, event organizers have announced that they are expecting a record number of attendees to fill the already largest exhibit hall of the event’s history. Combined with an international exhibition of the newest 3D technology from the world’s top vendors and numerous networking events, the expo and conference is critical for anyone who needs to stay on top of the latest technology and developments in the rapidly changing 3D technology market. The 2018 edition of SPAR 3D Expo & Conference, presented by SPAR3D.com and produced by Diversified Communications, will take place from June 5-7 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California. SPAR 3D Expo & Conference 2018 will be co-located with the inaugural edition of AEC Next Technology Expo & Conference.

“The evolution of SPAR3D is amazing,” commented Lisa Murray, Group Director at the organizing group Diversified Communications. “The first edition in 2003 was an event largely focused on laser scanning hardware and the excitement was around being able to capture a 3D digital representation of the physical world. Today, integration with artificial intelligence, automation, and immersive environments are driving the market forward at a rapid pace. What’s on display here is literally changing the way projects are done.  It’s great to see what’s changed even in the last 6 months.”

More than 1,500 3D technology professionals are expected to attend representing industries such as architecture, building, and construction; surveying and mapping; civil and transportation infrastructure, industrial facilities, plants, and asset management; power and utilities; manufacturing; law enforcement and forensics; historic preservation; archaeology and digital heritage; mining, aggregates, and stockpile managed; entertainment and gaming; insurance and real estate; museums and cultural applications; research and academia; robotic and vehicle navigation and sensing; and many more.

The highly anticipated conference program, organized by conference planners and an Advisory Board comprised of 15 industry experts, kicks off on at 9:45 AM on June 5th with 16 product previews followed by the SPAR 3D opening and keynotes including Alexander Menzies of NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Dave Truch of BP, and Baptiste Tripard of Intel. Day keynotes include Ken Sanders, of Gensler, and Jack Dahlgren of NVIDIA. Day 3 features a keynote panel of Darren Bechtel of Brick & Mortar Ventures, Ira Samm of Bechtel and Angie Ackroyd of Shell TechWorks followed by another keynote address by Atul Khanzode of DPR Construction. The full program consists of more than 60 sessions is made up of keynote presentations, plenaries, 101-tracks, and panels providing industry professionals with an overview of 3D technologies, insight into the newest innovations and a view of what’s coming next.

71 exhibitors, including 15 exhibitors new to SPAR 3D this year, occupying 10,400 square feet, will showcase the latest 3D technology during the two-day exhibition. An additional 61 AEC Next exhibitors, occupying 7,500 square feet, will also be present on the expo floor to showcase architecture, engineering, and construction solutions. The exhibit hall will be open to attendees from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Wednesday and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday.

In addition to an abundance of exhibitors, the exhibit hall will also feature a variety of live demonstrations. Live demonstrations have always been a cornerstone of SPAR 3D Expo & Conference, but this year will introduce a few firsts including 23 presentations in the SPAR 3D Demo Theater, a Station IX Immersive Theater with a 360-degree display, and Topcon’s Immersive Dome Experience. Also available for attendees to test out will be Euclideon’s Hologram Table. Various Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR & VR) demonstrations, as well as mobile mapping demonstrations, will be available throughout the exhibit hall.

Registration

Online registration for the 2018 event remains open through the end of the day on June 4th and is available here. Onsite registration opens at 7:30 AM on June 5th.
