Teledyne Optech’s Dr. Paul LaRocque to Deliver Keynote Address at ISPRS TC III Symposium

April 25, 2018Teledyne Optech is pleased to announce that Dr. Paul E. LaRocque, VP Special Projects, will be presenting a keynote address at the ISPRS TC III Symposium in Beijing, China. Dr. LaRocque will be one of three speakers in the opening Keynote Session on Monday, May 7, 2018 between 10:30 am and 12 pm.

 

Dr. LaRocque’s keynote, titled 40+ Years of Airborne Lidar, is a historical review of airborne laser mapping systems designed and built by Teledyne Optech. The evolution of airborne profiling systems has been significant. Dr. LaRocque’s presentation will cover mapping with both bathymetric and terrain lidar systems, starting from the early days when system acquisition rates were only in the 100s of Hz and contrasting them with the capabilities that exist today.
