AirGon LLC Appointed North American Distributor for YellowScan Drone LIDAR Systems

AirGon LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of GeoCue Group Inc., has been appointed the North American Distributor for YellowScan based in Montpellier, France.  Under the agreement, AirGon will sell, train and support YellowScan’s complete line of small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (sUAV) LiDAR scanning systems.  The system choices range from the mapping grade YellowScan Mapper II to the advanced, Riegl-based YellowScan Vx and the new Velodyne VLP-32C based Surveyor Ultra.

“We are very pleased with this superb addition to our AirGon solution offerings,” said Lewis Graham, General Manager of AirGon and President of GeoCue Group. “I think 2018 will be the beginning of a ground swell movement to LIDAR-equipped drones.  We did an extensive review of systems available on the market and found the YellowScan products to be the only solution that really meets the reliability requirements necessary to minimize down time.  Drone LiDAR systems are rapidly advancing and thus must be capitalized over a fairly short life span.  When you face this challenge, reliability is keenly important.  In addition, the broad applicability of the various YellowScan systems from mapping to survey accuracy allows us to meet each customer’s unique needs.  We have been offering LiDAR workflows solutions and processing tools since 2003.  Our YellowScan agreement, in concert with our recently announced DJI Enterprise agreement, allows us to offer a turnkey experience for our drone mapping customers.”

“We are very excited to name AirGon LLC our North American distributor,” said Pierre d´Hauteville, CEO of YellowScan.  “The GeoCue Group has been providing consulting, training and software for the manned aerial and mobile LiDAR community since its inception.  They have a sterling reputation in the industry for outstanding technical support.  Their AirGon subsidiary has performed over 1,000 mapping flights and thus have gained tremendous experience in drone mapping over the past few years.  I think they will be an excellent supporter of our technology in North America.

The Agreement was effective in December of 2017.  AirGon owns a demonstration YellowScan system mounted on a DJI m600 sUAS platform.  Contact info@geocue.com  to discuss your drone mapping questions.
