Petrovietnam Marine Shipyard Company Standardizes on Intergraph SmartMarine 3D

Vietnam-based PV Shipyard was impressed with SmartMarine 3D’s rule-based, next-generation technology and selected the Intergraph solution to design and build its first jack-up rig. The implementation of SmartMarine 3D for the jack-up rig project was highly successful, producing automated deliverables such as drawings and reports, which led to increased accuracy of design and productivity, as well as acceleration of PV Shipyard’s subsequent offshore projects. The company was also pleased with the excellent support and services provided by Intergraph, with local distributor support from Intergraph’s partner in Vietnam, Credent Technology.

Today, SmartMarine 3D is the 3D engineering and design solution of choice for PV Shipyard and used for its offshore projects. The company has also expanded its use of Intergraph technology and has selected the SmartMarine Enterprise suite of solutions (including SmartPlant® Foundation, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant Reference Data, and SmartPlant Review) because of its proven track record in the industry. Intergraph is the only software provider offering an integrated, comprehensive suite of solutions, enabling PV Shipyard to meet its productivity requirements and achieve its business goal of taking on additional offshore projects. SmartMarine 3D and the SmartMarine Enterprise solutions will be used by engineers and designers of the PV Shipyard Engineering team in an integrated environment for the design, construction, production and planning of offshore facilities.
