Maptitude Team Provides Sponsorship for MGGG Geometry of Redistricting Workshops

NEWTON, MA (USA) – The Metric Geometry and Gerrymandering Group (MGGG) Boston Regional Workshop was held on August 7-11, 2017, at Tufts University (Boston, MA, USA). MGGG is a small Boston-based team of mathematicians run by Moon Duchin of Tufts University whose mission is to study applications of geometry and computing to U.S. redistricting.

The Maptitude for Redistricting team is proud to provide corporate sponsorship for the MGGG Boston Workshop hackathon luncheons.

Maptitude for Redistricting is the dominant redistricting application. Among the earliest customers of Maptitude for Redistricting were the NAACP and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, who wanted affordable and easy-to-use software to check against biased redistricting. Today, Maptitude is used by redistricting commissions, public interest groups, and most organizations involved in the redistricting process.

Also available is Maptitude Online Redistricting, a web-based redistricting software designed for governments or organizations that want to provide their members or the general public with a means to draw and report redistricting plans.
