Drone Company Atlas Dynamics Completes $8 Million Funding Round

RIGA, LatviaAtlas Dynamics (atlasdynamics.eu), a leading provider of drone-based solutions for the professional user, announced today it has raised $8 million from private and institutional investors.

Atlas will use the capital to advance the development of its Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) and Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone-based data solutions, and to build its presence in key markets, including North America. The company will begin distributing its products in North America in Q3 of this year. Key applications for Atlas include infrastructure inspection, construction, emergency response, security and insurance.

“The market is ready for fully autonomous drone-based solutions that are available to fly today, capable of providing key data in multiple VLOS and BVLOS scenarios,” said Guy Cherni, CMO for Atlas Dynamics. “These funds will further our efforts to redefine this growing industry. We are using our background and knowledge in aerospace technology to equip our market-ready products with sophisticated aeronautical design, combined with ease-of-use, durability, and accessibility for every business.

Atlas Dynamics utilizes its proprietary technologies, including: full carbon-fiber hulls, smart lithium-silicon batteries, and electronic, communication and mechanical components, enabling users to optimize flight time and data collection capabilities. The Atlas drone platform provides up to 55 minutes of flight time and ranges of up to 50 km, and is able to operate in day/night scenarios and extreme weather conditions.

The full drone solution comprises the “Atlas Pro” drone, an autonomous operating system, versatile and interchangeable payloads, and a remote controlled protective landing and charging smart docking station.

Atlas will be showcasing its solutions at InterDrone 2017, to be held in Las Vegas on September 5-7 at Booth 800.
