LAND INFO and GeoNorth Information Systems Team to Deliver Enhanced Geospatial Solutions to Commercial and Government Customers

Denver, CO – LAND INFO Worldwide Mapping, LLC, a pioneer in advanced imagery and mapping solutions, and GeoNorth Information Systems (GNIS), the only commercial geospatial solution provider to own a US-based, multi-mission Direct Receiving Station (DRS) for optical and radar imagery, announce a new strategic alliance. Together, both companies will offer their respective commercial and government customers greater choice in geospatial products and services.

Beginning today, LAND INFO will use GNIS’ Direct Receiving Station to offer customers rapid acquisition and delivery of optical and radar imagery, and related mapping and information products.  Nick Hubing, President of LAND INFO, commented, “GNIS’ DRS is a very unique capability in the industry, especially with being on US soil, and one that is ideal for applications where speed is critical. Plus, with GNIS’ synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery expertise, we can now offer near real-time imagery and information services to our customers, regardless of weather conditions and time of day.”

Also starting today, GNIS’ product line will include DigitalGlobe’s 30cm optical satellite imagery; archive imagery dating back to 1999; 8-band multispectral and short-wave infrared imagery; plus, LAND INFO’s extensive digital topographic map collection and advanced remote sensing services. “This is a great example of two talented firms working together to better serve customers,” said Doug Hobson, Executive Director of GeoNorth Information Systems. “We share many of the same values,” Hobson continued, “including creative problem-solving and value creation for customers, so we are really delighted to be working with LAND INFO.”

Combined, both companies have decades of experience in remote sensing, Earth observation, GIS and mapping, which span data, software, hardware, and services.
