Exprodat Offers ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing Implementation Services

Exprodat, the oil and gas ArcGIS platform specialist, Esri Gold Partner and Getech group company, has extended the services it provides to energy companies around the world by developing a number of support services targeted at the new ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (APR) extension.

Recently, Esri has developed the ability to manage linear referencing networks, such as pipelines, within the core of the ArcGIS platform. This means that pipeline assets, build materials, maintenance reports and a host of other vital data, can now be stored and accessed quickly, easily and in formats that are familiar to pipline management teams.

Exprodat has been an Esri Gold Partner for many years and has provided ArcGIS implementation and systems development support to multi-national and start-up oil and gas, mining and energy companies alike. Building on this experience and knowledge, Exprodat is now able to help pipeline planners, builders and managers, get the most out of the new ArcGIS extension.

Chris Jepps, Exprodat Technical Director, explains why the company has developed this new service; “We’re excited about the opportunities that Esri’s new linear referencing capabilities in the ArcGIS platform is bringing the pipeline industry. We have teamed up with Esri to fast-track our adoption of these new capabilities, and we look forward to building value-added platform-focussed business applications for our pipeline customers.”

Speaking for Esri Inc., Jeff Allen, Global Pipeline Practice Manager explained how partnering with Exprodat to support pipeline companies around the world would provide benefits to them; “We are excited to have Exprodat bring their vast array of Esri technical capabilities to the pipeline space. Exprodat’s understanding of how APR is integrated within the larger geospatial patterns of these large energy companies will be invaluable as this technology becomes widely adopted within the pipeline industry.”
