USGIF Accepting Nominations for 2017 Awards Program

The USGIF Awards Program annually recognizes the exceptional work of the global geospatial intelligence tradecraft’s brightest minds and most innovative organizations. The program shines a spotlight on outstanding geospatial intelligence achievements in five categories: academia, community support, government, industry, and military.

Nomination forms can be downloaded here and the application deadline is April 7.

“The incredible accomplishments represented on the list of USGIF award winners from 2004 to 2016 share a common truth,” said USGIF Awards Subcommittee Chair Kevin Jackson. “The truth being that outstanding achievement does not occur by accident. It manifests as a result of hard work, dedication to mission, and a passion to make things better. Make 2017 the year you nominate an individual or team in your agency, service, institution, or company that deserves to be recognized at the GEOINT Symposium, the preeminent event supporting our Community.”

Any individual, team, or organization engaged in GEOINT-related fields including nontraditional technologies and capabilities—whether in social media, open-source information, big data, the Internet of Things, ISR, mobile, virtual and augmented reality, and much more—is encouraged to apply.

The USGIF Awards Subcommittee selects recipients and the awards will be presented on stage during the general session at the GEOINT 2017 Symposium, taking place June 4-7 in San Antonio, Texas.
