Pune-Based Company to Complete GIS Mapping of Supply Network

The standing committee of the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) on Friday finalized a Pune-based firm for its ambitious projects of water audit, hydraulic modelling and the geo-informatics system (GIS) mapping of the water supply network.The KMC is expected to give a work order to the firm next week and the actual work will start at the end of August.The KMC has also set a two-year deadline for completion of the work, which is expected to improve the efficiency of the water supply system.
