Urthecast bags Geospatial Technology Company of the Year award

Urthecast has been chosen as Geospatial Technology Company of the Year for 2015. The award shall be presented during Geospatial World Forum on May 26, 2016, at World Trade Centre, Rotterdam. The jury, comprising of renowned professionals representing industry, academia, government and multilateral organizations, met in December ’15, to select this year’s Geospatial World Leadership Awardees.

The jury believes that Urthecast has been a pioneer in installing sensors and cameras at International Space Station, opening a new avenue for earth observation through leveraging existing platforms and infrastructure in space. The jury has also acknowledged that Urthecast’s enhanced capabilities in terms of real-time images and high-definition video streaming has created larger market for earth observation and geospatial industry in the filed of monitoring and analyzing events and incidents almost live. Innovations at Urthecast has been recognized and acknowledged by several large end user agencies including National GeoIntelligence Agency and its acquisition of Deimos has added significant operational, processing and delivery capabilities.
