Major efficiency and productivity gains for working with point clouds in Navisworks
Leica CloudWorx for Navisworks will bring greater fidelity and extended support to rendering, manipulating, and working with point clouds in Navisworks beyond the application’s native capabilities. CloudWorx for Navisworks gives users the option to connect to Leica Geosystems’ powerful Cyclone point cloud database or Leica Geosystems’ new, high-performance data server, JetStream. Leica JetStream data will bring true ease in handling huge data sets of thousands of scans and/or billions of points with full-density point cloud rendering in real-time. With instantaneous point cloud loading and no “regen” lags, these wait times are eliminated, increasing office productivity of cloud-based design review by up to 20-40%.
New and improved workflows in Navisworks
All the appropriate functions of the popular Leica CloudWorx line of plug-ins have been included in CloudWorx for Navisworks, bringing to the platform Leica Geosystems’ trusted and user-friendly tools such as friendly TruSpace spherical views and advanced point cloud clipping and editing tools. Additionally, new and unique clash tools have been developed specifically for Leica CloudWorx for Navisworks, creating better workflows with accurate clash detection in construction progress review.
With expanded point cloud support, fidelity, and real-time full rendering with JetStream, the classic and new CloudWorx tools offer Navisworks users a more productive workflow with point clouds, saving contractors and project management professionals time and money.
