Trimble Announces Enhancements to Trimble Trident Software for Mobile Data Analysis

The announcement was made today at INTERGEO 2014, the world’s largest conference on geodesy, geoinformatics and land management.

Trimble Trident version 7.0 offers increased automation functionality to deliver results more quickly. Updated feature extraction tools within the software provide greater reliability and minimize manual editing and verification. Trident version 7.0 breakline detection routines now include a cross-sectional workflow for rapid and progressive development of supervised roadway breakline models.

To reduce overall data processing times for geospatial professionals, this latest version is compatible with a variety of database systems and supports a new, efficient point cloud file format resulting in reduced data access times and increased efficiency when handling large datasets.

“Professionals using mobile mapping technology for road asset and civil transportation projects require powerful solutions that can quickly convert massive geospatial datasets into a valuable deliverable,” said Alain Samaha, business area director of GIS and Software for Trimble’s Geospatial Division. “With this latest release, we continue to automate manual steps and processes that can result in saving our customers significant time in the field or the office.”

Availability

The Trimble Trident version 7.0 software suite is available now through Trimble’s Land Mobile Mapping and Geospatial Distribution Channel. Customers with a current maintenance contract will receive the update at no additional cost.
