Leica Geosystems Adds the Leica iCON CC50 Controller to its Intelligent CONstruction Product Portfolio

The Leica iCON CC50 is a smaller option to the 7” tablet PC Leica iCON CC60/61, and is fully integrated into Leica Geosystems’ unique iCON portfolio of hardware and software solutions. It runs the Leica iCON site or iCON build software to display and connect measured points for as-built surveys or to stake-out points directly out of the digital plan. The controller provides flexible options for data communication and extensive data storage.

Product Manager Bernd Möller says, “The Leica iCON CC50 controller is an excellent product packed with outstanding features. One of the highlights is the mini long-range Bluetooth® cap that makes it one of the smallest solutions for remote control. Its flexible communication concept with cable, WLAN or long-range Bluetooth® allows for a scalable use. The rugged design makes it an ideal partner for any job on site”.

Perfect Controller for Any Job On Site
The Leica iCON CC50 can be used to control the new Leica iCON robot 50 total station for one-person operation, saving time and increasing productivity for layout tasks, stake-out and as-built checks. The optional long-range Bluetooth® allows communication with the Leica iCON robot 50 beyond distances of 350m.

Alternatively, the iCON CC50 can be used as a data logger with the Leica Builder manual total station. Together with the versatile Leica iCON gps 60 SmartAntenna the iCON CC50 creates a compact and lightweight GPS surveying system.

Additional Features and Flexible Connectivity
The Leica iCON CC50 has a built-in 3MP camera for additional documentation on site, an integrated GPS receiver, an electronic compass and an altimeter. It provides high compatibility and flexible connectivity for various construction applications. The embedded 8GB memory ensures extensive data process and storage. The Leica iCON CC50 offers substantially longer battery life, up to 10 hours to provide all-day usage while on site. The high resolution, sunlight-visible VGA display shows images, maps and data in crisp detail.

New Leica iCONstruct v1.1
In addition to supporting the new controller, the Leica iCONstruct software v1.1 includes many enhancements that significantly improve on site workflows. The workflow for as-built survey and data collection using a total station in continuous measure mode has been further improved. The general layout and stake-out behaviour has also been improved to increase users’ productivity.

Availability
The Leica iCON CC50 controller and the updated iCONstruct v1.1 software are available with immediate effect.  Ordering information is available from authorized Leica Geosystems representatives.
