The announcement was made at INTERGEO 2014, the world’s largest conference on geodesy, geoinformatics and land management.
The new and enhanced products include:
Spectra Precision FOCUS 35
The Spectra Precision FOCUS 35 isa new rangeof motorized total stations providing high speed, accuracy and precision in measurement. The FOCUS 35 robotic instrument moves the power of the observer from the instrument to the range pole, improving efficiency. The speed of observation and precise positioning of the FOCUS 35 Robotic Total Station is provided by patented StepDrive™ motion technology, which controls the horizontal and vertical motion of the motors, eliminating the need for traditional motion locks. The FOCUS 35 includes a tracking sensor that uses LockNGo™ FastTrack tracking technology, enabling the instrument to constantly lock onto the prism.
The FOCUS 35 is available in 1”, 2”, 3” or 5” accuracies and is controlled by the Spectra Precision Survey Pro™ field software using an onboard Windows CE touchscreen interface. The FOCUS 35 is also designed
to be controlled externally by Spectra Precision Ranger™, Nomad™ or T41® data collectors running
Spectra Precision Survey Pro field software or Spectra Precision Layout Pro on the Ranger or Nomad.
“The modern, stream-lined design, extremely light weight and very quick turning speed enhance the overall value-proposition of the FOCUS 35 and make this instrument a very compelling choice for a wide range of survey and construction applications,” said Olivier Casabianca, Spectra Precision business area director. “With the introduction of the FOCUS 35, Spectra Precision continues to expand and improve its portfolio with powerful solutions using new technologies.”
Spectra Precision FOCUS 6+
The Spectra Precision FOCUS 6+ isa new range of tough, water resistant, and ultra-portable mechanical total stations. Available in 2” and 5” models, the Spectra Precision FOCUS 6+ Series offers superior quality optics and dependability, making them ideal for a variety of surveying applications.
The FOCUS 6+ total stations offer a distance measurement accuracy of up to ±(2 + 2 ppm x D) mm and provide a reflectorless measurement range of 500 meters (1,640 ft.). Additionally, the FOCUS 6+ Series include a coaxial laser pointer, Bluetooth connection to external data collectors, support for USB memory sticks, an optional laser plummet plus onboard storage for 25,000 points.
Spectra Precision FOCUS 8
The updated Spectra Precision FOCUS 8 features a Windows® CE touchscreen interface. Field application software functions are supported by advanced Spectra Precision® Survey Pro™ field software for surveying and construction measurement needs, Layout Pro for construction based layout work and the easy to use Survey Basic with Roads.
The FOCUS 8 provides prism-based and reflectorless measurements, dual-face displays, cable-free Bluetooth connectivity, plus support for USB memory sticks, and a high-speed data transfer port. The FOCUS 8 is available in 2″ and 5″ models for a range of field applications.
The Spectra Precision FOCUS 35, FOCUS 8, FOCUS 6+, and Survey Pro field software are available now through the Spectra Precision global reseller network. For more information visit: www.spectraprecision.com or email: email@example.com.
