The government plans to roll out massive infrastructure projects over a five-year period to address the lack of facilities that are seen to fill the gap in the country’s transportation infrastructure in the next decade and spur economic growth, Transportation Secretary Joseph Emilio A. Abaya said. There are 57 key infrastructure contracts—worth P530 billion—that the government has lined up and will bid out. The transport agency will spearhead 28 of these projects.
