It took almost eight years of hard work.. and on Thursday night.. Korea sent its fourth multipurpose satellite the Arirang-5 into space. The 210-million U.S. dollar satellite blasted off from Russia’s Yasny space center at 11:39 p.m. Korea time, and nearly six hours after liftoff, Korea’s science ministry said it made a successful contact with the operational satellite.
