South Delhi Noise Mapping Shows High Levels

Having a house in South Delhi may get you a privileged citizen tag, but it cannot guarantee a peaceful sleep at night. Noise pollution in several South Delhi localities has reached shockingly high levels, causing hearing loss and stress among the residents, a study has found. The localities close to flyovers and elevated Metro tracks are bearing the maximum brunt of this menace, the first-of-its-kind noise mapping survey by the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) shows. The worst-affected places include Kailash Hills in East of Kailash, CSIR apartments at Ashram, Moolchand, Nehru Vihar and IIT flyover. Read More
