The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) and Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) signed an agreement yesterday that will push for greater collaboration on geospatial education, training and research and development. The partnership will enable both organisations to tap into each other’s expertise and resources in promoting the use of GIS in Singapore. As part of the agreement, SLA will also be awarding aSLA Geospatial Scholarship annually starting next year up to 2015 to deserving final year students in the Geospatial and Mobile Innovation specialization track under the Diploma in Information Technology Programme in NYP’s School of Information Technology (SIT).
