The Election Commission will get Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping done of all 80 parliamentary constituencies, 403 Assembly constituencies, and 1.33 lakh polling booths across the state. With the target to complete the exercise within one year, the Commission will use GIS images in identifying vulnerable polling booths and ensure necessary arrangements for conducing free, fair and peaceful polling in the next Lok Sabha elections.
