AUSTIN, Oct. 15, 2015—Xplore Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: XPLR), manufacturer of the world’s broadest range of high-quality rugged tablet computers, today announced it has signed a partnership agreement with Avalue Technology, Inc. (TAIEX: 3479-TW) for distribution of its full line of rugged tablet computers in China and Japan. Through the distribution agreement, Avalue will handle and secure all product certifications to insure the Xplore products meet the necessary requirements to be sold in each country.

“We see major opportunity for Xplore rugged tablets in the Asian markets, and Avalue provides us the breadth of distribution and in country resources to ensure success,” said Mark Holleran, president and COO of Xplore Technologies. “As we continue to grow our global footprint, trusted partners and distributors like Avalue will be critical to corporate strategy and growth.”

Headquartered in Taiwan, Avalue has a global subsidiary of companies, including Avalue China in Shanghai and Avalue Japan in Tokyo. In addition, Avalue Technology operates an extensive distribution network to accommodate and serve customers all over the world.

“There has been a big gap in the China market when it comes to rugged tablets,” said Philip Chang, CEO of Avalue Technology, Inc. “We initiated our relationship with Motion Computing and now see even more opportunity with the Xplore product portfolio across the region.”

Xplore rugged tablets use the most powerful and modern processors and components and are tested more vigorously for shock, thermal, vibration, impact, ingress and emissions than any other PC in the industry. Xplore’s products enable the extension of traditional computing systems to a range of field and on-site personnel, regardless of location or environment. Xplore’s portfolio of products are sold on a global basis, with channel partners in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia Pacific.
