Knox Investment Partners (Knox Partners) Announces an Exciting New Investment in the New Zealand Geospatial IT Sector

NSG, with offices in Wellington and Auckland, has been at the forefront in developing and promoting geospatial and GIS solutions across New Zealand. NSG operates across a broad range of industries with key applications servicing national, regional and local government, environment, forestry, agriculture and transport sectors. The sale of the business has been a planned and strategic move whereby the NSG owners worked closely with AAM and Knox Partners to ensure NSG’s ongoing prominent position in New Zealand’s GIS market.

“NSG is a well-respected and innovative group with over 20 years of experience in the geospatial market. Their state of the art geospatial applications and cloud services will enhance AAM’s GeoIT market position” said Knox Partners’ Managing Director, Bret Jackson. The excitement and sentiment was echoed by AAM’s CIO Brian Nicholls, who commented, “NSG have developed GeoCirrus, a world leading geospatial cloud computing platform, providing our clients management and distribution of not just data but real geospatial intelligence. Importantly NSG is also an ESRI Gold Partner, which provides unique insights into future GIS developments on a global scale.”

Knox Partners and AAM are eager to see NSG maintain its uniquely New Zealand outlook and to promote further specialist GeoIT skills and opportunities in New Zealand. Frank Simmons the current NSG CEO will maintain his leadership in the business, supported by the continuation of the entire NSG team. The immediate focus will be to foster and support NSG customers ensuring the client-focus service that has been NSG’s distinguishing trait is maintained.
