1Spatial Supports Local Government FME User Group in Victoria

The one day event features presentations about Safe Software’s FME spatial data transformation products and their applications in local government and utilities. Organisations presenting include 1Spatial, Southern Grampians Shire Council, Wannon Water and Moorabool Shire Council.

The event will also provide an opportunity to network and share best practices about how to use FME and FME Server to solve the geospatial data challenges which many attending organisations are experiencing due to population growth and natural disasters.

1Spatial will be demonstrating how FME Server can be used to automate spatial data transformation tasks so organisations can better utilise staff with specialised geospatial skills and allow less skilled staff to handle tasks with a geospatial component. 1Spatial will also demonstrate how FME can be used for real-time capture of bushfire information Web feeds which use the emerging GeoRSS standard.

1Spatial is a Platinum Partner and a value-added reseller for FME and the company’s Certified Professionals and Certified Trainers work closely with Safe Software. Two of the company’s FME Certified Trainers are attending the event.

“1Spatial is proud to support this event showcasing the innovative ways that local government and utility organisations are using geospatial data to improve services in regional Victoria,” said Martin Gregory, General Manager for 1Spatial Asia Pacific. “We also look forward to sharing some of the latest spatial data transformation and automation techniques with fellow attendees.”
