SuperGIS Training Centre Established in Geomatika University College

Located in Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur and having branch campus covering the country, GUC is one of the most important local GIS institutions, which has over 4,000 students with 200 lecturers. The experienced institution focuses mainly on geospatial industry education and research to support qualified scholars who have professional expertise of GIS field.

The SuperGIS Training Centre will not only provide students with advanced GIS knowledge and practices of SuperGIS software, but also combine with real cases to show how GIS technologies can be applied to different industries. In addition, the centre will also support solutions providers, geospatial consultancies, and government officers to learn SuperGIS for aiming their works.

‘We are pleased to collaborate with Supergeo to give GIS knowledge for more learners in Malaysia. This will create a win-win solution for both local users and Supergeo.’ said Dr. Mohaizi Mohamad, President of GUC.

‘Supergeo is honored to establish the knowledge base at GUC’, said Sarah Liu, Sales and Marketing Director at Supergeo. ‘We will enhance technology transfer and provide the best training support for Geomatika, and hope the establishment of SuperGIS Training Centre will elevate the GIS industry development in Malaysia too.’
