Geospatial 2014 Products Receive OGC Certification

The 2014 versions of ERDAS APOLLO, GeoMedia WebMap and Geospatial SDI have all received OGC certifications, which meet international standards for interoperability and work seamlessly with other OGC-compliant products. These OGC standards allow geospatial content and services to be seamlessly integrated into business and civic processes, the spatial web and enterprise computing applications.

“In receiving OGC compliance, the Geospatial 2014 portfolio showcases its relevance and versatility to reach a broad range of organizational needs,” said Mladen Stojic, President of Hexagon Geospatial. “This third-party validation enables our users to develop fully interoperable systems that include the key products from the latest release.”

Building upon the foundation introduced in 2013, Geospatial 2014 is a comprehensive portfolio of industry-leading technologies, providing enhanced analytical tools, mobile support and tremendous cost savings associated with managing big data. With an ongoing focus on a fully united, modern and dynamic product portfolio, this powerful release synchronizes the technologies across all product lines – broadening the reach and availability for fully integrated solutions for all users of geospatial information.

The OGC is a consortium of companies, NGOs, research organizations, agencies and universities with a common vision in which everyone benefits from geographic information and services made available across any network, application, or platform. The organization’s mission is to promote the development and use of advanced open systems standards and techniques in the area of geoprocessing and related information technologies.
