The Location Media Alliance Welcomes Todd Danielson

“I’m thrilled to be working with the Location Media Alliance, and I believe our new video product, GeoSpatial Stream, will add a new and exciting channel to an already strong and growing portfolio,” noted Danielson. “Video is a major element in the future of trade media, as it’s fast becoming the preferred medium to ingest information, and I look forward to adding professional-quality video news to every aspect of LMA offerings.”

This new video offering nicely complements the documentary-quality and long-form videos that are available through our partners storyshop, makers of the popular Geospatial Revolution videos that were done in conjunction with Penn State Public Broadcasting. For more details about the GeoSpatial Revolution, see http://geospatialrevolution.psu.edu/ and http://locationalliance.net/aboutpublications/location-lens/. With regular video news and educational and entertaining video storytelling from storyshop, the LMA brings new visual impact to the geospatial industry.

The LMA is focused on bringing more awareness to the business, technology, applications, and policy aspects of location technologies. The new brand, GeoSpatial Stream, can be found on the Web at http://www.geospatialstream.com. Visitors can sign up now to receive announcements when new videos are posted.

“Todd joins us at an exciting time,” said Matt Ball, LMA member and founder/editor of Vector1 Media. “Through the LMA, we have aligned publications that address the full geospatial audience, with more than 60,000 readers across five publications. Todd will be instrumental in making the most of this alignment.”

Before joining the Location Media Alliance, Todd Danielson worked in various roles at GIS World and GeoWorld for 17 years, most recently as editor in chief. He has a broad knowledge of the geospatial industry, and in his spare time honed his video skills while creating and hosting a local-cable TV show in Steamboat Springs, Colo., where he lives with his wife and two young daughters.

To contact Todd Danielson about business and video opportunities with the Location Media Alliance and GeoSpatial Stream, call 970-846-8831 or email tdanielson@locationalliance.net.
