GIS College Adds MapInfo Courses

  • MapInfo Professional: Discover for Geoscientists 1 (Basic)
  • MapInfo Professional: Discover for Geoscientists 2 (Intermediate)
  • MapInfo Professional: Encom Discover 3D (Advanced)

Complementing GIS College’s existing ‘Using MapInfo’ and ‘Data Management’ training, the new courses focus on the use of Encom Discover and Encom Discover 3D, which are major plug-ins in MapInfo Professional and provide the tools to compile, visualise, analyse and map spatial geoscience data.

Aimed towards geologists and other geoscientists, the basic and intermediate courses provide students with data management, manipulation and presentation skills using MapInfo Professional and Encom Discover, while the advanced course offers geoscientists the opportunity to develop skills in modelling and analysing 3D data in Encom Discover 3D.
