International LiDAR Mapping Forum Announces Call for Papers

The Committee is seeking abstracts on topics including:

• Data acquisition – Airborne or Bathymetric LIDAR
• Data acquisition – Emergency response
• LIDAR point clouds – in parallel to LIDAR
• Data fusion and processing technologies
• Developments in data classification and GIS modeling
• Industry issues
• Mobile mapping and survey
• Recent project examples
• Systems integration
• Trends and new technology development

Additional information on topics covered can be found here.

ILMF set a new record for attendees in February 2013, when more than 850 professionals from 30 different countries turned up in droves for the 13th annual event. This proved once again that LiDAR, in its increasing variety of operational formats either alone or when complementing other technologies, is becoming the technology of choice for fast, accurate and quality geospatial data acquisition. Whether supporting highly detailed 3D urban mapping projects, forestry management, or railroad and power transmission line maintenance programs, LiDAR technology delivers the results needed by today’s demanding geospatial and mapping professionals.

Running alongside the conference will once again be the exhibition of more than 50 leading companies expected to demonstrate new LiDAR products and a wide range of new technologies and services. The ILMF welcomes organizations involved in Airborne and Bathymetric LiDAR and Mobile Mapping Systems, including system and component manufacturers, operators, service companies and specialists in data processing, handling and management, to exhibit at the ILMF event.

About International LiDAR Mapping Forum
The International LiDAR Mapping Forum (ILMF) is a technical conference and exhibition focused on the use of airborne and bathymetric LiDAR and mobile mapping systems. ILMF spotlights the use of LiDAR to support transport, urban modeling, coastal zone mapping, land and natural resource management, utility asset management, 3D visualization, GIS and other applications. The event draws professionals from federal, state and local government and commercial enterprises who require the latest tools and information to improve mapping and imagery.
