International Course on Management and Applied Techniques in Cartography

The IC_Cartotechnology is a Postgraduate Program (45 ECTS) consisting of several modules, certified by the Fundació de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, as well as supported by the Direcció General d’Universitats of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia.

The Program is conducted by Institut Cartografic de Catalunya (ICC). ICC is the official mapping agency of Catalonia with 30 years of experience in setting up and building new capacities in terms of developing knowledge, infrastructures and added value in Cartography. This experience is key to define an innovative and consolidated course to track and translate current needs, requirements and geoinformation challenges into a powerful capacity building instrument.

Beginning in September 2013.

  • 3 phases program: 2 phases attended learning (Convergence phase, 7th October 2013 – 5th December 2013 and Core phase 20th January 2014 – 28th March 2014) + 1 phase distance learning (22nd April 2014 – 30th June 2014)
  • Different enrolment options available: whole postgraduate program, single itineraries or modules
  • Conducted in English
  • Program size: 15-20 students
  • International high qualified lecturers
  • International Advisory Board
  • Total learning effort: 1125h (45 ECTS)
