The Nigerian surveyors have been very active throughout the many last years in FIG, and have apart from the local participants been the largest delegation to previous Working Weeks. It is therefore a pleasure that this years Working Week will take place in Nigeria, and the Nigerians are eager to welcoming participants from all over the world to the FIG Working Week and to Nigeria.

FIG Working Week – Conference 7-9 May 2013, General Assembly 6 and 10 May
The Working Week will take place both at the International Conference Center and Nicon Luxury Hotel, which are connected.
The overall theme of the Working Week is “Environment for Sustainability” with more than 50 technical and special sessions, and each day a plenary session is offered with the following themes:
Governance and Approaches
Technologies and Systems
Professional and Capacity Development
including both International and Local capacities as key note speakers.
The main partners for the conference are UN-HABITAT, UN-GLTN and the World Bank.

On 6 and 10 May the yearly FIG General Assembly will take place.
Throughout the Working Week the there will be plenty of possibilities to get acquainted with the Nigerian culture and cuisine. Included in the registration fee is the Welcome Reception, Opening Ceremony and Farewell Reception. Furthermore it is possible to register for the Nigerian Cultural Dinner/FIG Foundation Dinner, Gala Dinner and both technical and social tours.
