Professor Cartwright holds a Doctor of Education and a Diploma of Applied Science from RMIT.
Dr Beth Wilson, who has an honorary doctorate from RMIT as well as a Graduate Diploma of Librarianship, received a Member of the Order of Australia for outstanding services to the community of Victoria, through dispute resolution in health services.
Dr Wilson was Victoria’s Health Commissioner from 1997 until 2007, and had a long career in health administration.
Another alumnus, Wendy Simpson, who completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Librarianship) at RMIT, was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for outstanding services to the community through a range of women’s and youth organisations.
Ms Simpson founded the Australian Council of Business Women, as well as the International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry.
