The objective of this Summer School is to provide the attendees with a comprehensive overview of the satellite navigation (SatNav) process, starting from the basics of a GNSS system, its signals, the processing of the observations in a receiver and finally determining the position-navigation-timing (PNT) solution. The programme will include laboratory work to help attendees gain valuable “hands-on” experience in GNSS technologies. The summer school puts particular emphasis on innovation through a group project based on a new idea covering all aspects from the concept, business plan, technical realisation till the marketing of an innovative SatNav product or service.
The two-week residential school is open to university graduates, Masters/Ph.D. candidates, early-stage researchers and young professionals willing to broaden their knowledge and launch a career in a GNSS related field. Internationally renowned scientists and specialists will give lectures as well as guiding practical exercises, laboratory work and the project.
