Seismic Surveying Firm Deploys Altus High-Precision GNSS Receivers

Ron Stewart, president, TerraView Surveys Inc. commented, “The Altus APS-3U receivers have greatly improved our productivity, especially when working beneath heavy tree cover. The data is far superior to what we were getting before. Occupation times have decreased, resulting in more production from the crews and reducing our need for post processing data collected in treed areas.”

“The support from Butler Survey has been great,” he added. “They are quick to answer our questions and are a great help with supplies. They have worked closely with us to resolve minor issues before they could become big problems.”

Altus CEO Neil Vancans said, “Our growth in the marketplace is largely due to dealers like Butler Survey, who provide the technical knowledge, experience and customer service that are the keys to success in this industry.”

TerraView Surveys Inc. was established in October 2010. Headquartered in Calgary, the company has a U.S. subsidiary in Denver and a marketing office in Houston. TerraView provides a wide range of services including project management, seismic line layout and supervision, line cutting supervision, seismic line surveying, pipeline locating, GIS and hazard mapping, and survey data processing.

Butler Survey Supplies Ltd., in business since 1978, is one of the largest suppliers of surveying, construction, machine control and engineering, field equipment in Western Canada specializing in GPS, total stations, 2D/3D machine control, lasers, levels, pipe/cable and pin locators, and field supplies.
