Columbian Firm Aeroestudios Purchases an UltraCamLp

“Our decision to purchase an UltraCamLp as our first digital camera is based on its proven advanced technology, efficient pre- and post-processing capabilities, and convenient compact size. All of these factors are necessary to meet our goal of successfully competing in domestic and international markets,” stated Mr. Luis Miguel Vélez Zamorano, President and Founder, Aeroestudios. “We also were influenced by the outstanding customer support provided by GTBi and its local sales representative in Colombia. GTBi worked closely with us to determine the most suitable solution at this time, with the option of updating both hardware and software in the future.”

Winner of the Technology Innovation category in the 4th Annual MAPPS Geospatial Products and Services Excellence Awards competition, the UltraCamLp features an image footprint collection capacity of 92 megapixels (11,704 x 7,920 pixels pan). The UltraCamLp combines innovative hardware, electronics, and software that result in an efficient camera system capable of collecting five spectral bands per exposure: red, green, blue, and near-infrared data, in addition to the higher-resolution panchromatic data.

Rounding out the UltraCam mapping systems offering is the UltraMap workflow software system for processing UltraCam imagery to Level 02 and Level 03 quality data, and with features that include distributed processing with automated load balancing, automated project-based color balancing, and additional quality control tools.
