Altus Positioning Systems Hosts First Dealers’ Conference in Europe

Altus Positioning Systems hosted the company’s first dealers’ conference in historic Bratislava in May, where the company previewed upcoming products, provided training and granted awards.

More than 35 dealers and partners attended the conference, where they learned about current and future sales goals and strategies, product roadmaps and immediate product releases, and participated in hands-on sessions covering key areas of current and future products.

“From Norway to Romania, and even from as far as Australia, the majority of Altus’s European dealers and many partners were represented at the conference,” said Neil Vancans, president and CEO of Altus Positioning Systems. “The group reviewed the global success that Altus enjoyed in 2011, and received product training, strategic goals and initiatives, and a glimpse of what’s to come.”

Vancans unveiled the new APS-U integrated L-Band RTK system for the seismic exploration market, and received commitments for more than 200 units. The company expects to have production units ready in July.

“We are constantly impressed with the high level of dedication to quality, customer service and sales efforts from our dealers, and are especially proud of the unique solutions many have developed using Altus equipment to meet customer needs, such as the DigPilot 3D machine control system used in excavation applications,” said Vancans. “Our dealer network is vital to Altus’ growth, especially breaking into new markets, including the seismic, law-enforcement and GIS industries.”

Altus awarded Germany-based Attenberger GmbH “Dealer of the Year” for having the best sales performance in 2011. Proleium of Poland was crowned “Most-Promising Newcomer.” The representatives from both companies received an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Los Angeles.
