SuperGIS Desktop Aids American University of Sharjah in Civil Engineering Programs

Established in 1997 and located in Sharjah, UAE, American University of Sharjah is established with an American model of higher education and ground in the Arabic culture. The university provides various degrees programs through the collages of Architecture, Art and Design, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and the School of Business and Management.

In order to develop individuals as leaders in their respective fields, the Civil Engineering Department of American University of Sharjah adopted SuperGIS Desktop 3 Lab Kit and GIS Learning CD as the multi-purpose GIS tools for educators and students to integrate a variety of geospatial data and consequently apply these spatial analyses to related applications such as public safety, pipeline management, environment analysis, construction planning, and so on.
