International Land Surveyors Week (June 16-22) is an annual celebration of Surveying Culture,  commemoration of the oldest profession known to men and a time for surveyors to build network ties across political borders. Land Surveyors in any country on earth are invited to celebrate the value of professional land surveyors in society. Last year’s International Surveyors Week was the first Global Surveyors event of its kind.  With more than twice the members this year, the Land Surveyors United team is excited to host another year of networking with land surveyors across the planet and learning how surveying is practiced in all locations.  Join us and share your experiences working as a surveyor in your area of the world. Visit this link to join us:

Please set aside 10 minutes on June 21st at Noon to strengthen the surveying industry with Survey Earth in a Day 2.0. Building on the success of last year’s Survey Earth event, on the day of the solstice June 21 2013, professional land surveyors around the world and members of Land Surveyors United  will be simultaneously recording survey grade GPS data from thousands of points around the globe, in order to both educate the public regarding the importance of professional land surveyors to society and gain a more accurate understanding of the earth’s surface. Surveyors are asked to simply set up their GPS on a known point near their job site or home, capture the data and send it in.  Our results will bring greater accuracy to web-based maps across the globe. This will be Survey Earth in a Day 2.0!

Take a moment to get involved.  Our results from this year’s Survey Earth event will be layered atop of next year’s Survey Earth in a Day 3D. We look forward to the harmony that these events will bring to the global landscape of land surveyors everywhere.
