Singapore’s Urban Redevelopment Authority will hire a data collection company to track heavy vehicle travel and parking data in order to better plan.

The supplier will install GPS tracking devices on the heavy trucks. There are 44,000 heavy vehicle parking lot spaces for the 34,400 parking permit holders, however, there is increasing call to redevelop parking lots for housing and away from housing, which will require planning.
