Qualcomm is working to advance its Snapdragon chipset to help makes drones smarter and more cost effective. The chipset called Snapdragon Flight will debut at the Consumer Electronics Show.

The key features of the device include an optical flow camera, visual inertial odometery, motion planning, obstacle mapping and other interesting features. Snapdragon Flight handles 4K video and will make heavy use of a GPU to handle the large imagery load. It is said to feature a 2.26 Ghz quad core processor and Adreno 330 GPU.
