Digital Map Products Expands Web Service Capabilities for Esri ArcGIS

IRVINE, Calif. — Digital Map Products Inc. (DMP), a pioneer in accessible and easy-to-use geospatial mapping technology and content, announced the availability of expanded capabilities for its SpatialStream® web service. The new capabilities allow a significantly broader and now bi-directional integration with Esri ArcGIS®.

As of today, users of ArcGIS now have three new ways to stream DMP’s nationwide parcel database, SmartParcels®, into their platform in real time. With SmartParcels, businesses and governments get access to more than 142 million parcel boundaries, covering 98 percent of the U.S. population. Updated daily, the company’s nationwide parcel data is tied to more than 300 attributes, including property data and tax information. With the new expanded web service capabilities, ArcGIS users can now benefit from the most up-to-date data, with no costly processing or data warehousing required.

The following services are now available for ArcGIS users:

  • Integrated Esri Feature Layers into DMP Applications — Lets users pull ArcGIS feature layers into DMP’s easy-to-use LandVision™ (https://www.digmap.com/our-products/landvision/) and GovClarity® (https://www.digmap.com/our-products/govclarity/) applications to mimic existing workflows.
  • SpatialStream for ArcGIS (WMS/WFS) — Allows streaming of SmartParcels into ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and other applications.
  • SpatialStream for ArcGIS Pro (plugin) — Allows streaming of SmartParcels into ArcGIS Pro through DMP’s plugin. Users will benefit from enhanced spatial querying of parcel geometries and attributes.
  • SpatialStream for ArcGIS Apps (API) — Allows streaming of SmartParcels into web applications developed using the ArcGIS API for JavaScript. Users will enjoy lightning fast (UTFGrid) speed and functionality.

“For the last 18 years, our mission has been to embed spatial technology into everyday workflows. Today’s announcement substantially extends the reach of our real-time data to an important audience,” said Jim Skurzynski, president and CEO for Digital Map Products. “ArcGIS users now have the best of both worlds – our SmartParcels dataset combined with their existing ArcGIS workflows.”
