Russian Space Command has taken control of the three new Glonass satellites that were launched on 14 December. The next symposium of ISPRS Technical Commission VIII will be held 9-12 August in Kyoto. Online registration will be available from mid-January 2010 according to President Haruhisa Shimoda. Online submission of abstracts has already started. Potential participants can submit abstracts without paying the registration fee. However, you cannot submit full papers until the fee has been paid. Full paper submission will start on 1 April.

The 16th Session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum will be entitled Space Applications: Contributions towards Human Safety and Security. It will be held 26-29 January 2010 in Bangkok. Conference accommodation has been organised, but special rates are only available by filling in the special reservation form before 24 December.
