Wuda Geo Praised by Premier Wen Jiabao for China “Map World”

During an official visit to an event showcasing the country’s independent innovation achievements in Wuhan City, Wen was given a demonstration of Map World by Wuda Geo’s deputy general manager, Mr. Song Aihong. Using Map World, Song showed images of the effects of a recent hailstorm in Ningxia, a landslide in Zhouqu, and a satellite image of Wen’s hometown. Wen offered praise of the service and Wuda Geo’s key contribution, especially after learning that a typhoon in Guangdong from earlier in the day was already in the process of being uploaded to the map.
