Online registration is now open for the FIG surveying congress to be held in Sydney, 11-16 April 2010. A local surveyor, John Brock, has arranged a history seminar on the two days leading up to the congress (9-10 April). Technical tours have also been organised, including a boat trip to historic Fort Denison.

Pre-congress activities being offered include trips to the Australian outback and the Barossa Valley wine region, and a tour of Canberra.

People intending to present papers at the Congress should note the deadline of 22 September 2009 for the submission of abstracts for non peer reviewed papers and the submission of full papers for peer review.
