Teledyne Optech Displays its Advanced Lidar Solutions at GEO Business 2018

Teledyne Optech will display its newest airborne lidar solutions for acquiring accurate geospatial data at GEO Business 2018, London, UK, on May 22-23, 2018.

Visitors to booth L28 can discover the wide area mapping features of the Optech Galaxy PRIME and its ability to survey rugged terrain more efficiently. For a more detailed explanation, register for our workshop entitled, “Airborne laser scanning and the powerful new Galaxy PRIME” taking place Tuesday May 22nd at 09:30 am in Room C.

Visitors can learn about Optech Eclipse, the first airborne collection system that tightly integrates both passive and active imaging sensors, and the Optech Titan, a bathymetric lidar system that uses three separate channels to efficiently survey shallow coastal waters and create multispectral maps of land-based targets all in a single flight.

The new Optech Polaris LR, the latest generation of our Optech Polaris TLS (terrestrial laser scanner) will also be on hand. Attendees can get a first-hand look at its highly automated and user-friendly interface and see its remarkable performance at ranges from 1.5 to over 2000 m. Visitors to the booth can also experience the Optech Maverick, our first wearable mobile mapping system that fits in a backpack.

Finally, the Teledyne Optech team will present “Ocean garbage patch detection in 3D using hydrographic LiDAR” on Tuesday May 22nd at 11:15 am in Theatre 2. The presentation will discuss the role of the CZMIL Nova in determining the volume of plastics in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

At booth L28 you will also find our partner Teledyne CARIS. Staff will be on hand to discuss their extensive suite of tools for processing airborne lidar bathymetry, such as HIPS Professional and Bathy DataBASE™.
